Weather, excursions

September is the most predictable month in terms of weather; clear sky and sunshine are usual. The evenings may be chilly, and the surrounding mountain tops may receive snowfall even during summer. Therefore, one travels to the Alps prepared. For walking tours, good shoes, a raincoat and warm pullover are advantageous. No specific mountaineering equipment is required for excursions. A bathing suit could be recommended for an adventurous swim in the chilly lake Körbersee.
