Feedback

  • We love our O2k. We have performed measurements in more than 300 muscle biopsies to date, and Paul Coen and I just got a paper accepted in Journal of Gerontology highlighting the measurements related to function in the elderly (2012-10-05).

MitoEAGLE

        • Benefits for COST and for the COST Action MitoEAGLE and for COST International Partner Countries
The TRI-MD is a is a joint venture between Florida Hospital and Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute that is dedicated to the study of obesity, metabolism, diabetes, and the metabolic origins of cardiovascular disease.
Our group’s research program is in part focused on skeletal muscle mitochondrial energetics in the context of aging, obesity and exercise. Over the past 10 years we have conducted over 1000 respirometry assays in human muscle and so we are in an excellent position to support the scientific mission of the COST Action MitoEAGLE. In addition, we are keen to share our experience in human permeabilized muscle fiber bundle preparation. To this end we feel that our contribution may best benefit the scientific goal of Working Group #2.
In summary, we are keen to join and contribute to the important scientific mission of the Horizon 2020 COST Action CA15203 MitoEAGLE.
