Feedback from participants
- Thank you again for the wonderful event that was MIPSchool and the MIPconference. It was a wonderful experience for me, all the contact with different researchers, such as Anthony Moore, Leonid Sazanov, Erika Fernández-Vizarra, among others. As well for your hospitality and reception. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING. 😊😊😊 - Othonicar Murilo F, BR
- I cannot thank you enough for hosting such a remarkable scientific event. The efforts put, the knowledge gained, connections made, and the overall positive atmosphere left a lasting impact on me. I look forward to attending future events organized by your great team. - Court Tatyana, CZ
- I really enjoyed getting to meet other trainees in a relatively laid-back environment. It really felt like summer camp - bonding over mitochondria, hiking, and the woes of being graduate students. This was a space for us to learn not only from the experts but also from each other, and I felt that my interactions with all MiPschool participants outside of the lecture sessions were just as valuable. It was very useful to learn about all the different assays that others use to elucidate more about mitochondrial function. The material I learned at the MiPschool will definitely help me develop my own projects and studies with new insights. - Phang Howard J, US
- I really enjoyed the flexibility of the schedule, the place, the walk and talks, and the availability of the lecturers to the students. I think it was a great opportunity to talk with people from the field, and not only with science questions but also personal/career questions at the 'meet the expert' session. I had an amazing time and the people were very nice. Thank you for the effort in the organization :) - Anonymous participant
- There was really good interaction between students, senior researchers, and professors. - Anonymous participant

- Letter from the organizers
- Dear MiPschool participants,
- We are pleased that you agreed to be part of the MiPschool 2023 – Mitochondrial structure and function, respiratory supercomplexes, and respiratory control – in Obergurgl, Austria July 23-27, 2023.
- We consider the MiPschool as a major activity of the MiPsociety addressed to students (in the widest sense of the word). The roles of the mitochondrial structure and the respiratory supercomplexes remain a hot topic in relation to mitochondrial function. Lecturers are leaders in the field.
- Lectures should provide a balance between an introduction into the basic concepts, advanced methodological approaches, and applications. During each lecture, comments and questions mainly from the students are encouraged. Lecturers are invited to join the roundtable session where the different presentations can be discussed interactively. Controversial topics should be deliberated during this session. Additional slides may be shown to extend the discussion.
- If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
- Kind regards and looking forward to seeing you in July,
- Erich, Alba and MiPschool 2023 organizers
