Summer School 2015 is aimed at PhD students of biomedicine, biochemistry and molecular biology. To those of you who do not meet this criteria we encourage you to notify any scientists who may be interested.

• The Summer School will be organised by Professors Howy Jacobs (Universities of Tampere and Helsinki) and Laurie S. Kaguni (Michigan State University and the University of Tampere) The Summer School will be held in Levi, Finland, June 2-10
• The program consists of a mix of lectures, student presentations, group work and a fun recreational program.
• The topics will range from mitochondrial transcriptome and genetic code evolution to protein-RNA interactions and RNA editing and modification.
• The lecturers will be Daniel Bogenhagen (Stony Brook University Medical School of Medicine, US), Aleksandra Filipovska (Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, AUS), Lluís Ribas de Pouplana (IRB Barcelona, ES) and B. Franz Lang and Gertraud Burger (University of Montreal, CA).

A maximum of 30 graduate students will be chosen on the basis of their application. No prior involvement in mitochondrial RNA biology is required but preference will be given to qualified early applicants. The application should include a single page motivation letter and a CV. Please note pre-booked flights can no longer be guaranteed.
