Caution: Very toxic. Chemical is currently not available 2010-11-22. Alternatively use Antimycin A as a Complex III inhibitor.


Preparation of 5 mM stock solution (dissolved in 99.9% Ethanol):

1) weigh 1 mg of Myxothiazol directly into a 2 ml glass vial
2) add 2.05 ml Ethanol
3) divide into 0.2 ml portions OR store in 2 ml glass vial and use subsamples during experiments to avoid contamination of the stock solution
4) store in glass vials (recommendation) at -20 ยฐC
