Worked a bit with palmitoylcarnitine on homogenate of white muscle of fish. Do not need to be permeabilized chemically as mechanical permeabilization allow to obtain permeabilized cell (ADP-responsiveness the same). The respiration rate was much lower than the pyruvate / malate / succinate substrate, so I stopped to use the lipid substrates.
