LinkedIn - Assa Oumie is a wrong name for the person formerly working at the MUI

- As a Post Doctoral Researcher of Cell and Molecular Biology at University College London (UCL) I studied cell metabolism and identified therapeutic targets against inflammation and statin-induced myopathy, in collaboration with academic and industrial partners. During my career at UCL I secured funding from research council, charity and pharmaceutical industry for three major research projects, supervised the research projects of students and junior staff and delivered module courses to graduate students.
- As a Business Development Associate and Post-Doctoral Researcher at Innsbruck Medical University (Austria) in partnership with a spin-out company, I played key roles in cell biology research, oxygen sensor and software development and validation, and customer technical support. Before moving to Innsbruck, I worked at the Medical Faculty of the University of Würzburg (Germany) where I conducted comparative metabolic investigation, on cancer and foetal cells, to better understand the mechanism of adaptation to hypoxia.

- Assegid Garedew but not Assa Oumie (no person of that name is known to us) was a Postdoc employed by our 'spin-out company' working at the Medical University of Innsbruck (DSL Research Laboratory) after moving to Innsbruck from the University of Würzburg. ~ Gnaiger Erich (talk) 14:01, 10 April 2017 (CEST)
