Application in HRR (updated instructions)

Azd: Azide (Sodium azide, NaN₃); Sigma S2002, SDS 25 g, store commercial stock at RT; M = 65.01 g·mol^-1.

2021-02: The preparation instructions were updated to take the volume of the solute into account (see User:Spitzer_Gudrun/Volume_of_the_solute). The concentrations prepared following the former instructions (see Discussion section) are sufficiently high for SUIT protocol titrations.

Caution: Very toxic!

Preparation of 4 M storage and stock solution (1 mL, dissolved in H₂O) for 2-mL O2k-chamber:

1. Weigh 260 mg of sodium azide.
2. Dissolve in 900 µL H₂0.
3. Divide into 0.5 mL portions.
4. Store at -20 °C.

• Titration volume (2-mL O2k-chamber): ≥50 µL using a 100 µL Hamilton syringe.
• Final concentration: ≥100 mM.

Preparation of 2 M stock solution (dissolved in H₂O) for 0.5-mL O2k-chamber:

1. Take 400 µL of the 4 M stock solution.
2. Add 400 µL H₂O.
