Vector

Description

A vector is a pysicochemical quantity with magnitude and spatial direction of a gradient. Symbols for vectors are written in bold face. For example, velocity, v, and the fundamental forces of physics, F, are vectors. An infinitesimal area is a vector, dA, perpendicular to the plane.
